Park Ridge currently lunch shames the subsidized lunch kids by handing out the lunches in giant brown boxes that identify the kids to everyone in the lunch room. Last year lunches were served in discrete brown bags. We are a wealthy community that can certainly afford to treat our kids with dignity.

I have to, once again, recommend Hello Fresh close to Park Ridge. We ordered for 2 people and it was enough for 3 of us (I have teens that devour food) and leftovers for lunch. We tried Home Chef, Blue Apron and Hello Fresh. HF was the biggest bang for the buck! Cli...

Today as my family and I were having lunch at the new korean bbq place in uptown PR, an older man walked in and pulled a piece of paper out of a plastic grocery store bag and handed it to me and left in Park Ridge. He never spoke to us at all. I didn't realize it when i took it, but it was white supremacist propaganda with some anti-Jewish rhetoric on it and a reference to a David Duke website. WTF! I wouldn't e...

Talk of an elementary school hot lunch service isn't over in Park Ridge-Niles School District 64. So I'm not one to publicly complain, but I'm just curious who botched the hot lunch program? in Park Ridge! We had a good thing going and apparently SOMEONE wasn't happy! I mean seriously, this blows!

Sooooo. I overheard a little tidbit yesterday that D64 has a $55 MILLION SURPLUS in Park Ridge! I am wondering why, then, did they insist that the school PTOs fundraise to retrofit the schools and kick in a reported $80, 000 to start up a new hot lunch program? Then the district canceled the hot...

Thank goodness! It was impossible getting down these streets and trying to get a parking spot to lunch at Hay Caramba around Park Ridge. There still are plenty of commuter spots that don't fill up down towards the Edison Park station and plenty of free spots between the two stations.

First off: Most kids throw out their hot lunch anyway in Park Ridge. I have seen kids pick up the lunch from the line and throw it right in the trash on the way back to their table. except on Pancake Day. Kids love Pancake Day. Second: I think it is deplorable that thi...

FAQ on the proposed district 64 wide new lunch program around Park Ridge. I guess I don't understand why the PTO has to pay for it? It sounds like an unfunded mandate.
