Considering recommendations for a private swim instructor at the Park Ridge Park District for a 5 year old girl who has been going to Goldfish (and previously Big Blue). I loved these schools but would like more one-on-one attention and focus on form and breathing techniques. Thank you!

Just thought I would explore this idea - are there any young girls out there who teach little ones tumbling skills (walkovers, flip-flops, handsprings) in Park Ridge? I have two little girls (ages 5 & 7) who would like to learn these skills. They can do cart wheels and round- offs very well and can partially do backbends. We have done the park district, but I am wo...

Someone had asked about gymnastics classes that were not extremely competitive for their daughter around Park Ridge. Check these out. I had taken advantage of one like this through the Lincolnwood park district (Niles West) years ago. It was more about learning and having fun than competition. Seems to be set up ver...

Hey everyone! I have my son signed up for Learn and Love at the Park District on Fridays starting mid October from 930-11 in Park Ridge. It's for 3 and 4 year olds and I know last year parents loved it. Right now there are only 4 kids signed up so I am afraid they will drop it, so wanted people to know it was still available. Here is t...

Iโ€™m not sure how I feel about this ongoing dispute close to Park Ridge. While I praise the aldermen for backing the community demands, I also believe in free enterprise in that the city/park district has been unable to meet the sellerโ€™s asking price and he should be abl...

Here's a small and simple goal (or two) for the April aldermanic (love that word) elections: -- let's not have any sign-stealing this time -- or any accusations thereof in Park Ridge. Let's set the middle-schoolers a good example of civil behavior, democracy, etc. etc. -- let's attend at least one of the coffees our neighbors host for candidates. It's just as much work for 3 as for...

First all the problems with the splash pad at Prospect Park and now the new playground at Jaycee Park in Park Ridge. Is the Park Ridge Park District cutting corners to "save money"? Because that just seems to be creating more expense. Is this why our park district programs are so expensive? So we can pay to have eve...
