She's having a hard time finding a new place because she has 4 cats and is not willing to get rid of them. If anyone knows of an apartment or s...

Were there really no vacant designated office spaces in Park Ridge? That whole office building next to St Paul of the Cross always has a leasing sign out. That area is getting so much more foot traffic that could support retail. I know a landlord can rent to whomever ...

According to Park Ridge Public Works, there are collection bins at all Park Ridge polling places into which you can put your old yard signs. Nice efforts by the Go Green organization and Newcomers Club. Here is a photo from the PW building collection site this morning.

This is the lawn around the former VFW building which is currently in zoning limbo within Park Ridge. The sign out front of the building says Troy Real Estate which is owned and operated by Fuksa's PAC donor and owner Hubert Cioromski. Make of this what you will.

So I have been doing my research on Park Ridge mayoral candidates and found that one of the candidates — Lucas Fuksa — is a commercial real estate attorney which raised a whole bunch of red flags. I have dug up with some highly concerning information and feel the need to share. It appears that Lucas Fuksa has some wealthy developer donors to his campaign whom he will be beholden to if he is ele...

What concerns me is that Fuksa, while I agree that this town needs more development, hasn't necessarily researched how Park Ridge has tried to bring new retail to Park Ridge. The city did approach Gap, Borders and Pottery Barn about going into the Schwab location and they all declined saying their markets were both already saturated and that Park Ridge didn't have the popu...

"If the city annexes it, it becomes part of the city's jurisdiction and subject to the city's zoning and control, " she said, adding that any tax dollars generated would go to the city, which would have to provide emergency services near Park Ridge. Because the property borders Park Ridge on the west and north, it could be annexed, Tappendorf said, but it would be more difficult if development started before annexation goes through. "If we annex ...

An assisted living facility has received tentative approval from the Park Ridge City Council, though at least one aldermen believes the property should be completely set aside for stormwater detention. Four months after buying Park Ridge's former public works service center, a developer is seeking the city's OK to build 25 townhouses on the property. Elm St., each containing multiple two-story townho...
