I'm looking for something that goes/stays outside that will make going outside fun and entertaining around Park Ridge. So far I've come up with a portable basketball hoop, trampoline (but we only have cement, no grass, if that makes a difference), swimming , (but again no grass only cement), softball net to practice hitting. Does anyone else know of anything else that a 9yo would love playing with outside? Also, we rent so whatever we get we have to run it by our landlord.

When I was a kid. we didnt have fancy trampolines or nets or anything. We played on a swing set dug through the gldirt and sand made obstacle courses played with chalk roller skates and bikes we played hide and seek and imaginations ran wild. Think of the best times you had a kid and I think they'll be just fine :) would it be great to play capture the flag with friends, ghost in the graveyard or sardines. absolutely. but I remember doing so much on my own and finding ways to remember these things is helping kick back to what summer used to be like.

I just ordered a portable ping pong table to keep in the garage and bring out when it’s nice out!

We have a small pool in the back. In cement. Just put a tarp underneath it. Got It at Home Depot

We bought an intex pool. You can put foam insulation on the cement and then the pool on top.

If you put a pool on the cement you can put those baby foam tiles under it so nothing pokes through the bottom and makes a hole Life size jenga is always a hit (my husband can make them if interested), any yard game really- bags/jarts/bocce/etc Chalk and bubbles- look up diy solution for giant bubbles- my kids have been doing this every day lol

I just bought an outdoor projector from Amazon for movie nights! It is AWESOME! I used a plain white sheet (queen flat) as the screen. I'll attach some pictures. The picture quality and speaker are fantastic! I added (but not necessary) a Bluetooth speaker for surround sound. I used an HDMI cable (not included) and hooked it up to my phone for all my streaming apps like Disney+, Netflix, Hulu. The projector goes up to 200", but we keep it at 100" due to sheet size. HUGE HIT!

Vavmo brand. Never heard of it, but really great quality at a fair price! 😁👍$150
