Those of you who have a pool like the one pictured below - what did you put down on the lawn under the pool to level it out in Park Ridge?

Packing sand. it hardens and stays in place. regular sand is not as good

This was our first pool when kids were really little. pour pool chlorine or plain bleach in for sanitizing afterwards at end of day and move it around cover it with tarp at night too. now we have a full above ground pool for 17 years. love it love it love it.

Depends on where you are putting it. If you are putting it on the grass then sand typically works better to cushion the bottom. Just make sure you have it fairly level so you dont have one side higher than the other and uneven water level. If you are putting it on cement then foam insulation board works well to provide a solid softer surface

We never put anything under it so it always leaned a bit on a small slope. We did cover it every night though!

I just bought one of these too. I’m down for any extra tips as well!

I’m not planning on putting anything but the 12ft floor cushion mat I got on amazon. I have a little slope on my grass, not bad. Hope it works. I’m also waiting on my cover. If I set it up I’m gonna skim it daily. I have a pellet chlorine dispenser bought that is supposed to work. We shall see.

Amazon has a seller My Quick Buy. Buyer Beware they just raised price from 799 to 1599! And if something is wrong w pool you have to pay to ship it back. Walmart has pools same size but not inflatable for $398. Shop around

I set ours up Friday and it does lean a little to one side. It’s not a huge problem, but it affects the water level and tightness of the liner on the other side. For next year I’ll definitely consider the packing sand! But it’s been great to have so far!

Dig out and compact at least 8” of gravel then about 2” of sand on top

I used sandbox sand.

Can you just use a tarp underneath? The grass is soft Our summers are short lived so I’d hate to put anything permanent

Yes or the grass is fine if it’s level

Add sand underneath. It helps to level it out.
