We are looking to purchase a new BBQ in Park Ridge. Was thinking of getting it from Abt or Costco. Many people tell me that Weber Grill is the way to go. I see Costco has a Kitchen Aid for 1/2 the price as a Weber. What your thoughts? Which grill do you suggest and why? Note we have a small backyard and plan to get one that is 3-4 burners and maybe a side burner but nothing built in or crazy big! We plan to use this like once a week during the summer so nothing crazy expensive. thoughts?

Check out Ace! We paid $50 more for the same Weber that they have at Costco. but Ace assembled and delivered at no extra cost! Well worth the extra 50 in our opinion! And supporting local!

Backyard BBQ store in Wilmette is very knowledgeable. They carry lots of brands. We bought a Big Green Egg there and love it.

Abt delivers fully set up, Weber is a long term investment and worth the money.

Had inexpensive ones in the past, they work for awhile but when something breaks you are out of luck! Weber has an awesome warranty and cust service. Do luv my weber, but son brought home a traeger and that is on a whole different level. Smoker, grill, convection oven all in one. talk to the folks at ACE they can explain and demo just about everything!

It's worth buying a Weber. Ours lasted 20 years. We just bought a new one last year. We purchased a less expensive one for our summer home and it was toast after 5-6 years.

Well it’s simple answer here - kitchen aid is made in China with cheap materials. Weber is made in Palatine, IL and made from better materials. Carry on

Weber. Have had ours for 8 years and it still looks and fires up like it’s brand new. Look at Lowes, usually free assembly, delivery and you can always find 10% coupons online. They will also price match.

The less expensive grills tend to not last as long. you get what you pay for. I have the Weber Genesis and we love it. Bought it at ACE, they assembled and delivered as part of their price.

My Weber lasted for over 25 years. Just replaced last year - Ace in town put together and places on back patio. Super easy! Best bang for the buck hands down.

Weber Genesis, it’s fantastic and will last longer than the other cheaper brands. I had a charbroil I fared, that cooks fantastically, but the metal was cheap and it disintegrated from the inside out

Weber Stainless Steel, weber typically keep pricing the same everywhere. OLSON ACE has free assembly and delivery. They always have promotions.

Weber for sure. I used to work there. Just think twice about the side burner. In wind, it’s kinda useless. But it’s all in what you like! Happy grilling!

If you need something g small then I would skip Abt and head to Ace. I have a Weber Spirit and love it. It’s only the 2 burner but I like that instead of the 3rd burner I have an indirect heat area on the grill. I thought I’d regret not getting the 3rd burner but it works for me and it’s the same size grill but less money. I also have a Weber kettle charcoal grill and love that too for when I have more time to grill.

If you want a grill that is dependable reliable durable and last for many years then pay more upfront for a Weber than purchase lower cost grills every few years as they wear out and ultimately pay more. I have had my Weber Genesis Silver 3 burner since 2003. Still going strong. Have only had to replace flavor bars once and grill cover twice. Still starts on first click with electric igniter.

22 years outside no cover. Replaced the cast iron grates, flavorizer bars and wood planks. I do not think the new ones will last as long but will definitely outlast any other brand by far. Weber Genesis 1100

We have had our Weber Genesis gas grill for almost 20 years. Replaced the flavor bars a few times and have gone through three covers. We have never had an issue. Kitchen Aid makes great stand mixers. Weber makes great grills.

Weber! And definitely buy from Abt. They have the best customer service. And they will match any online price you can find. I have a great customer service story about Abt when I bought my last grill there. More later.

Hey Jeff Katz. I will thumbs up the Weber Genesis II. Perfect size. Great durability. Super warranty. I assembled at home with my teenage son. Instructions were clear and straightforward and it was a fun activity for us. For you and your clan maybe I’d suggest paying for the assembly. Can’t go wrong either way. Good luck and enjoy the grilling season!

Weber. Mark your outlook for 9. 5 years from when you get it. They will replace flavor bars and burners at no charge. Mine were a month past the 10 year mark and they sent them for free. Customer service is great!

Like many others. Weber for sure. Skip the side burner. You will never use it. Even for the brat bath Get the 3rd burner for sure. Try this. Look for a decent used one for $100 on FB marketplace. See if you like it and then get a new one next year or The year after.

I'm sure Weber is fantastic. Oddly enough, we got our first Kitchen Aid at Costco and loved it. It is a fraction of the price of the same size Weber. Ours was about $750 and the same size weber was $2, 500. We eventually ran a gas line to the grill and bought another Kitchen Aid at Costco. the price was around $1, 000 and the weber version was $3, 200. obviously I would buy it again.
