We are thinking about putting on a deck / patio using trex composite deck boards in Park Ridge. Does anyone have any experience with this? Recommendations / thoughts are much appreciated. Thank you!

My best friend just did it at her house and loves it so far.

Some concerns I have heard are that it may be slippery when wet and it gets pretty hot on the fare feet

The deck surface seems to get hotter than with wood, so just something to watch for when choosing a color.

I loved it. It does not look like wood. But oh man. I wish the spindles had been composite. HATE the maintenance. With this you just wash a bit and the product wet n forget and it is so nice!

We have had our trex deck for about 10 years and love it.

We had one. Loved it. It did get hot but we had the dark brown color. Would totally do it again.
