Hello, I own Goode Plumbing around Park Ridge. We had many of our plumbers that were normally off over the weekend come in to help with the huge number of calls we received yesterday and last night due to flooded basements and crawlspaces. There is some information on our website, GoodePlumbing. com, and I will be working on an update which I will send a link to once I have it up. In the meantime, I know a lot of you experienced flooding and that is not a call we wish upon anyone-the damage we. Continue Reading

Thanks for the note about disconnecting downspouts from the sewer system. I believe ordinance requires this in PR, but when I'm out and about I see downspouts going into pipes in the ground. I did a back of the envelope calculation several years ago and believe the load to sewers could be significant even if it's uncommon practice.

Mike J. Goode thank you for this. Chicago fire and water is coming out Wednesday to cleanup and remove drywall. Going to call your company now to see how we can stop this from happening again.

Great write up Mike, thank you. Curious if you had ideas on the best way to reduce hydrostatic pressure caused by the municipal lines backing up? We only see issues when the city line backs up. How can we stop the surge further from the house?

Sunday night at 8 PM my sump pump failed, which I was anticipating given the age of our existing unit and heavy rains. The positive reviews on virtual chatter prompted me to call Goode plumbing. 45 minutes later Trevor showed up to rescue us. He temporarily got us through the night and showed up this morning to install the superior system I should have had all along. He was kind, professional and COVID safe. I would highly recommend Goode Plumbing!
