Probably the igniter. Or thermostat
How old is this range? I'd contact GE right away for a warranty claim.
We have same oven and always have temp. Issues mostly on bottom. I know there is a place where you can change your preset temps maybe you hit this area somehow. Sorry don’t know where it is. Question-do you have to turn your food tray front/back to back/front to avoid. Burning from back? Top as well as bottom oven?
We have the same one and the oven is horrible. I've had ABT out 3 times as the top oven cooks unevenly. The bottom oven is better, but not good. We got ours in 2015
My top one is the best as long as I rotate. Wish it was the bottom though-more room. Ours is about 6-7 yrs old I believe nothing broke yet just have to be a good judge of time/temp
My in-laws and I have the same oven. They had an issue w the bottom one too. Abt came and fixed it.
100 is just the lowest temperature that an oven will usually display. my guess is that it is not even heating up to that point. It's probably not turning on at all
Bobby Diakakis any idea?
I have that same oven and I hate it on a daily basis. Complete hunk of crap. This has happened to the bottom oven twice, once very recently. A part was replaced as it had completely burned out, again. You would think an oven would be more tolerant of heat. Ok, I am going to stop before I go in a rant about how much I hate this oven (we never eat out so we cook every damn day on an oven I hate). Call Lou at Household Appliance Service 847-692-5976. He fixed it for us quickly when I explained the issue and much less expensive than Abt.
No idea but I love the backsplash!
Have a GE and thus has been happening with the top oven. It's 15 years old, so think maybe it's time for a new one. One thing I find works is to set temp in my top oven and then setting temp to bottom oven. Works for now, but we'll see for how long.
Call Ida Ovenguy on Prodpect.
Try unplugging & plugging back in. I know it sounds like a simple fix, but it works for my Thermador.
No idea but I love your kitchen
We had the same problem but on a different stove. my husband replaced the igniter. it cost $100 from Automatic appliance parts on Lawrence in norridge.
Check to see if the igniter is glowing. Contact Bobby about getting it fixed. He’s a good guy. https://www.secondcityrepair.com/
They certainly don’t make things like they used to. My hubby repairs commercial kitchen equipment. P. m. me maybe he can figure out what’s wrong with it.
Love your kitchen. That is all 🤣
Have the same oven. It’s the igniter. Ours had to be replaced 2-3 years in. Was about $300
Is the oven fan working? We had to have the fan replaced in our GE double oven because the temp would only go up to 100. But if the top portion of your oven is working then it may not be the fan.
