ComEd cut down half of a tree at the back of our lot line in the winter because it was leaning on the electricity wires around Park Ridge. They never came back to pick up the trunk and branches. I thought it was their responsibility to pick up, but my husband called ComEd and they told him it's on us. At this point we just need someone to bring a wood chipper and get everything off our property. Who should I call? Landscape company? Ideally I'd like to be able to use some of the chips as mulch on my flower beds and then the company would haul the rest away. Has anyone been able to do this?

Melissa we had that done by ComEd at our old house on Vine and they picked up everything. Call again. Or call over at Public Works and Park Ridge has a Com Ed rep that they can talk too and can help you.

Doesn’t Chris Parson know a lot about this process? Maybe try getting his advice?

We had Com Ed go through a few years ago. They do cut anything close to lines because they do not come back for roughly 4 to 5 years. And they also had a crew that cleaned all cut pieces.

Javier 773-719-8190. Does tree work. But if you are in chicago you can just drag branches or cut them down into chunks you can drag and put them on the parkway or city owned side of your sidewalk and call the city. Chicago will come and chip them next day for free (or so has been my experience) not sure about park ridge but worth the try. Otherwise it might cost a bit for a chipper.

Sometimes messaging companies on SM does wonders to. Their have different customer teams for phone and social media and then it’s in writing with all the details!

They were here recently trimming in our back yard Melissa Hulting and they took away all the branches. I would check back with them.

Call them. They came into our yard, unannounced, did all the tree trimming and cleaned everything up. This is their job.
