Just a reminder! Please order DIRECTLY from your favorite restaurants by Park Ridge! Use the phone or their direct website. The Grubhubs, Doordashes, etc take almost all of the profits of small business owners. At these rates most restaurants will not make it through these hard times. Thanks!

Same with Hotels - please book direct vs. expedia! Many brands have lowest rate guarantee

I don’t understand why restaurants that are this far on the ropes and that have their own delivery setup don’t opt out of the app, whether just for now or for good. I don’t like Grubhub, I prefer Uber Eats and/or Door Dash, but I can see the value in these apps. McDonald’d, Chili’s, Corner Bakery, etc do not otherwise have delivery. So why throw the baby out with the bath water?

If a restaurant doesn’t have delivery they’ll refer to you their preferable 3rd party app when you call.

This is pretty common with Grubhub. They take about 17% to 20% of a sale even if you have your own drivers. Ubereats takes 30% . Grubhub's model is the higher the percentage a restaurant gives them the better exposure the restaurant gets when customers plug in either a location or cuisine on their site. Using a restaurants own website to order is by far the best way to help the restaurant as well as keep prices from going up. Grubhub by contract does not allow restaurants to have different/higher prices from the regular menu from the restaurant.

Agreed. Have not had good luck with any of the delivery services. Had food delayed, orders lost and cancelled. That was enough for me say no. Plus I learned from some friends in the restaurant business that the delivery service skims too much off the top. I can pick up my own food. It’s an excuse to get out of the house if nothing else.

Always order directly, it’s really a nice chance to go out
