Need opinion. My daughter went on IRS around Park Ridge. gov to see the status of her stimulus check is and it said Unavailable. What could that mean? Not the site but her refund? http://irs.gov/?fbclid=IwAR1F1-y0opAzu82yMN8_lSHk6esx3BILzdLbo1-adnIEF4v_bFm88AqZvZU

Even though the site is up and running it has been overwhelmed. I would check back a little later preferably at odd times like five in the morning or 1145 at night. From what we heard it’s not gonna be up and running for Illinois totally until Friday morning

Here is what my accountant told me. I have not filled for 2019, and since I usually owe money, they don't have my bank info. The first round of stimulus payments are going to those who already have their direct deposit information on file with the IRS. The second round will include Social Security beneficiaries who do not file tax returns starting with those who have provided direct deposit information to the IRS. Paper checks to those who do not have direct deposit information on file with the IRS will be sent starting in late April. Keep checking the status of your stimulus check on the IRS website. Eventually, it should show your payment status as eligible and give you an option to enter direct deposit information.

Not sure this is relevant to your situation but. There is interesting wording in the “who is not eligible for stimulus”. “You can be claimed as a dependent on someone’s else’s return”. I don’t think it’s relevant whether you DO claim those dependents , rather if you CAN, and therefore those individuals will not receive a check. I am not a tax expert.

Got ours today. We’ve already made plans to donate it to those who need it. While I thank Mr Trump, we do not.
