Leaving the cold and snow in a few days for the Keys close to Park Ridge. Any recommendations on family activities or restaurants? We’re staying at Hawk’s Cay, and have a few things planned already. Thanks!

On your way through Islamorada. Robbie's is always fun. Feed tarpon, dodge pelicans, grab a bite and have a drink, shop for trinkets. a little bit of everything 🌞

Elissa Reiner we stayed at Hawks Cay! It was so nice. Lots to do at the resort too. The Dolphin Research Center, Gulf Side, Grassy Key was great. The Turtle Hospital was fun, Marathon, Gulf Side. Castaway Waterfront Restaurant, Ocean Side and Marathon. It’s a dive restaurant but the best food! Panko crusted hogfish is my suggestion.

Yes! Pigeon key ferry on marathon you board the ferry behind the Hyatt. It $8 or $10 and you get a ferry ride a tour and history of the island It’s about 2 hours total. Super fun. Wear sunscreen it’s very sunny on the island while you are hearing the history. The turtle hospital. (Coupons will be in paperwork pigeon key ticket office). Don’t go to sunset grille for dinner it’s not good anymore and expensive but do go to island fish company. Burdines is a local place that’s reasonable, very casual and good too. Sparks landing is good too. Go to sombrero beach for a beautiful beach if you are driving to key west go to Louie’s backyard for lunch at the afterdeck (before 3 pm) great views and by far the best restaurant on key west. In key west there’s the butterfly museum and the aquarium. Enjoy your time and fun in the sun!

The glass bottom boat tour of the reef on Key Largo is worth it. If you are lucky you might see some dolphins race with your boat. (we did) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lrbFBuoGTg

You can feed the tarpon at Robbies in islamorada. Definitely a unique experience.

Theater of the Sea, a Conservation Park in Islamorada is fun! Taken from website-Theater of the Sea lagoons and lush, tropical gardens are home to dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, fish, sharks, stingrays, alligators, and birds. Our mission is to provide a wonderful home for our animals while sharing them with visitors in up close and personal shows and interaction programs. Loving and caring since 1946, we are family owned and located in the Florida Keys.
