If you had to buy an affordable and good laptop with a good size screen today bc yours was about to crash, and you were going to Best Buy this afternoon, what things would you want it to have in Park Ridge. What kind? I am a PC user. Need to know how much storage and any new ports or features people think are important. I am a speaker so I use it mostly for the Word package (PowerPoint/with publisher for flyers/graphics/Canva), website updates, constant contact database newsletters, social media posts, and writing. And I save a lot of our personal pictures on it. I have my computer backed up so that is not a concern but need a new one up fast. Thanks for any advice.

I’ve been researching for a bit and I’ve settled on Lenovo’s Thinkpad or Hp Omen.

I love my MacBook but you’re a PC user so here’s what I would look for: - ample RAM (8+gig) - a solid state hard drive - I read they are better. - storage is cheap so I don’t think you’ll find anything with low gb of storage. You’ll probably find terabytes of storage. In the past I’ve gotten great deals at Fry’s in Downers Grove.

If you want one that holds up for more than a couple years, get a 16gb Lenovo Thinkpad. They have nice, thin 14” ones. I buy for my company and this one seems to last the longest. They do cost a bit more but worth it in the long run.

I believe the most important thing first is to consider how important will size and weight be to you. If you will commute with it a lot then you will want smaller. can always hook up to an external monitor and keyboard. If it will mostly sit on your desk then you can move up to a bigger laptop.
