I would go to the police station.
Hickory Hills is a hike. I hope what you are interested in buying is worth it!
Yup. Just suggest the nearest police station. If anything nefarious was afoot, they wouldn't agree to meet there
I did suggest the police station, they wanted the jewel.
Alyssa Von D exactly.
Are you the buyer or the seller?
I drove one hour each way on a Sunday to Carol Stream to get the nicest rug dirt cheap. If your worried - take someone with you
It depends on how bad I want the item or how bad I want to sell the item. Jewel is still a public place, so I'd do it.
Hickory Hills is right off 294 @ 95th. About 1/2 hour drive after rush hour
Take someone with you!
Thank you for the advice, I am going to ask why they dont want to meet at the pd.
Sounds a bit fishy it won’t meet at the police department! Red flag. I for sure would NOT DO IT. EVEN WITH SOMEONE
We once watched someone get ripped off in the Rosemont Target parking lot—definitely meet up at police station!
I sold a massage table, pool filters, pool ladder and other things separately and met the buyers at the Berwyn Police Station which is in the same town as my building.
I wouldn’t even bother. You never know these days
I would only meet people in the parking lot of a police station. If they fight you on that, don't buy or sell to that person. Hickory Hills is a south suburb and from what I remember when family lived there years ago, a very nice suburb.
Do it at the police station
I wouldn't have a problem meeting in a public place like that, but I would not drive that far unless it's something you really, really need.
Tell them no problem. your brother is a cop in hickory hills
Yes. Hickory hills is a southwest suburb near oak lawn.
You may be over thinking this. My Carol Stream rug woman wouldn’t meet me. But when I met her - she was a tiny little Asian woman that didn’t drive. Maybe ask why they can’t meet you.
Teddy is right. Almost all police stations welcome people to make online exchanges outside.
Which virtual garage sale? If it’s PRVGS they have to meet you per the rules. Danna Boutwell Karkazis?
Police station but meet in the middle. Long drive
