About how much was your dog’s last annual check up in Park Ridge? Including shots, monthly meds (heartworm/flea tick) etc. I’m just trying to make myself feel better about how much I just spent!

Just had Yogi in . had a body x-ray and physical plus nails clipped $850
A lot!
For a regular check-up--one dog, about $400, which includes the $100 for heartgard. we stopped doing nexgard bc she was puking it up, so we just take our chances with topical---that i do for 6 months, which is way cheaper than that nexgard.
Mine is a senior so he goes 2-3 times a year. Each visit is about $250-$300
I think like $400 - 2. 5 year old Labradoodle, all shots etc.
I refuse to go over $200. Unless my dog is having an issue then I obviously take care of that.
Depending on where you go, size of dog, 1 yr or 3 yr vaccines and preventive your visit can range anywhere from $200-$700
Yeah, the cost of Heartgard and Nexgard made it like $600+ for two dogs. 😳
I have pet insurance so a lot of it is covered.
300 at Park Ridge Animal Hospital on Busse
I believe $300 Roscoe village animal hospital. Extra $100 for the flu shot . And about $75 more for heartguard.
I started ordering Heartgard and Nexgard from Chewy. Cheaper than getting it at the vet.
We have Nationwide insurance. $250 annual deductible. Pay $80/month for a x-large breed dog and that includes wellness care and all major illnesses or accidents. It includes all medications as well such as heart guard, etc. We also order most meds and foods from Chewy and Pet Meds. Well worth it.
Go thru spay Illinois. They sell heart guard for 60/year too
$400-$500
I spent 500. bucks this summer to determine my very old cat was in great shape. While that was good news, was pretty shocked by price of blood panels.
$925 to be neutered, blood work, vaccines, physical, nails clipped, antibiotics for ear infection and pain meds post op. Niles animal hospital.
$255. 00 Preiser animal hospital (all yearly shots, Full exam heartworm test and nails trimmed)
I take mine to pet supplies and for all shots and they give me a prescription that I fill on chewy it was 198. 00
About 150
Kathy Meade Dr Miller at Animal Care Hospital in Schiller Park Clean’s my dogs teeth. I have paid between $105-150. This includes sedation, extractions and antibiotics.
We do PetSmart banfield hosp. puppy was 43. 00 Month for first year covers all shots and office visits and spay. After first year it's 22. 00 month for all yearly checkup and shots
$300 at Montclair Animal hospital on Grand 😊
Over $400. 00
Around $500 for annual visit including bloodwork and year supply of heart guard and flea/tick medicine. I think that blood work was $150 of the total.
What does neutering a healthy, large breed 1 yr old normally cost? Getting prepared 👍🏻
Under $200 I have 100lb dog Elmwood grove on grand love them nicest group of docs
I went to Animal Care Hospital of Schiller park. My annual visit (all shots and nail clipping) before heart worm pills was $90. The heart worm medicine is another $30 or so. My family dog is 16 and has gone there his entire life. I now have a 1 year old pup and take her there. It isn’t the fanciest but the vet is honest, reasonable and does a great job. I didn’t actually realize how cheap my vet was until I read these comments!
Just as an FYI what Banfield offers is not true pet insurance. It’s more of discount plan that covers office visits and vaccines. Then depending on the plan you sign up for it covers spay/neutering, teeth cleaning and your discount on meds and non-covered services varies. The reason I want to point this out is that we have used Banfield plans for years BUT we would have also saved over $40k (yes $40k) in bills for 3 dogs if we had insurance. Key is need to get it when they are puppies before anything is diagnosed aka allergies.
Well I have a cat. and I think I spent about 200 or 300. i actually don't remember, that included Bloodwork and 6 months of revolution. Probably closer to 300
Just brought our two dogs in and they were both due for everrrryythinnnng! We did the 3 year rabies shots and canine influenza vaccines, bordatella and Lyme vaccines, bloodwork and physical— $730. Crazy, but it was for two dogs and the next couple years should be cheaper since we paid the big bucks for the 3 year rabies.
I paid 250 for exam rabies n distemper. I felt that was a lot because I need more shots 😟
We did $47 with Petco every Thursday and Saturday they offer low cost vaccines
Niles animal hospital! I spent so much for years and this place is the place to go!
You can do low cost vaccine clinics at pet stores , you can order way cheaper flea tick and heart worm meds online and have your vet verify the order, nail trims at the groomer are like 10-20$, that way you can just pay for an annual wellness exam at your vet. coming from someone who spent 6600$ on bilateral knee surgery for my pup . I feel ya!
