Does anyone still pay for a land line near Park Ridge? Even though you don't really use it? Any reason to other than to find your find your cell phone?

As an existing Comcast customer when they raise your rates after your 2 year promo is up the new promo including a phone line is less $$ than the double play whether you use it or not.

I still have one and I use it for calls more than my cell phone. I have it in a bundle with comcast with my cable and internet.

I use it to give as my phone # so soliciting is done on the land line vs cell. Not sure it really works anymore.

We need our landline for all of our hospital’s & Doctors. that’s why, but; the reception is so clear on landlines, it reminds me of the “party lines of childhood , where you could hear the nosy neighbors listening ! 🤫🙂

I like my landline for emergency situations, and I continue to use it for other things as well.

I use my landline when home. I treat my cell phone more as a tablet. My husband got a cataract in 1999 from those really small phones and using it for hours and hours. I dont think holding a cell phone to your head for any extended period of time is good. Also, ya need to be able to find your phone. Finally, just switched our cells phones to comcast(which is verizon) we will be saving $100 a month.

I keep one for emergencies and use it whenever I have to give a phone number on credit apps or to utilities. Don't like listing my cell phone.

It always works. If you have a latch key kiddo you might consider keeping a land line

I can’t seem to cancel it. It feels like security. When the kids don’t answer their cells - they do answer the house phone

If Comcast goes out, and you need to call 911 you need a land line

It’s part of my AT&T package. Only reason I haven’t ditched it because I use it for international calls.

Got rid of it years ago. Have a Tile to find keys and Phone. Husband works from home and seems to make it work. conference calls, clients etc. Personally, I don’t use my phone to “talk. ” Lol. Text me and you’ll get a much quicker response.

Got rid of our land line a year ago and have had no issues without it. The LL was a complete waste of money.

I have a land line though I'm rarely home to make phone calls (and even when I am, after dealing with the mass public most of the day, the last thing I want to do when I get home is talk on the phone). I can't afford a cell phone and I do prefer my land line (I hate talking/listening on cell phones).
