Technical question - Anyone have a gaming system not hard wired into their router and working well for you in Park Ridge? Want to move the xbox to a room that has has wireless internet, i. e., a wifi booster. Desktop PC and tablets works fine there, but I hear xbox might not b/c of graphics requirements. Thanks

Nothing like wired - But you can also try a full mesh network, I use the Eero system and im very happy with it. Extenders and boosters are not great IMHO

Not a gamer but my friends that are aren’t happy with that setup. Go with a mesh network as someone else mentioned or find a way to hardwire it.

If you are gaming anything latency sensitive like Call of Duty, etc. you will always be at a disadvantage to opponents that are wired. You probably won’t notice a lag, but you’ll do worse. Regardless, Eero mesh system is great for WiFi in general.

WiFi is comparable to wired for most house hold appliances. No different as long as the router is decent
