Update: Thank you all for the recs by Park Ridge. I made an appt at Cassidy on Harlem. They said that plugs are not safe because they permit water seepage, which rusts the steel belts. They use “patches, ” which he said are shaped like mushrooms and prevent water seepage. Hmmm. So, I’m going to get a mushroom, not a plug. Has anyone heard of this? What’s the best place to get a tire plugged? It has a slow leak. likely a nail.

I went to just tires on Oakton in Des Plaines. Was in and out in about an hour.
