Need help! Redoing our kitchen, putting in white cabinets, we have dark hardwood floors w/ white trim around doors/floor around Park Ridge. Paint will be light grey of some sort. Can’t figure out Countertops, go with black or something light like white or gray. Thoughts/Suggestions!

I too like white bc it looks clean but was worried it would be too washed out with no contrast. soooo hard!

There are lovely quartz styles that look like marble but are much more durable. You can choose.

Never do black counters in a kitchen! Nightmare to keep up as they show everything

I went to this place in Franklin Park & they were a great price & very nice people. AMF Brothers @ 2925 Lucy Lane, it's off of Grand west of Mannheim. It's nice because you go in the warehouse & the slabs are huge so you can really see the colors & patterns.

Look on Pinterest for ideas! It really helped me when I was making changes in our house. :)

Go with something light. You could do a white quartz with veins of gray? Here’s a pic of a kitchen I sold and it was very well received. Hope this helps!

It’s best for resale and evaluation, too. Buyers generally prefer light and bright kitchens! 😊

Ps - Repose Gray (Sherwin) and Stonington Gray (Benjamin) are great for your walls, if you need ideas there. Both are soft and are true grays, without undertones of blue. Let me know if you have any other questions, I know this can make your head spin!

We used Creative Walls and Spaces for our recent kitchen/main floor rehab. Diana was amazing with color consultation. I’d highly recommend it!

Definitely white quartz, granite or marble with some movement (veining, coloring etc). Have you looked yet? It’s like buying a wedding dress you will know it when you see it

We just finished our white cabinets and gray island. Countertops will be quartz white with gray streaks Calabria style. Seems all are doing it this way. We used to have cherry wood cabinets with black granite counter tops.

We have white cabinets with gray quartz and espresso island with marble top. I highly recommend to steer away from marble. Its gorgeous, but the etching is awful.

I have black and dislike it- cannot tell if something is on them or not. I love the white/white. Good luck!
