Well-Jerry came up against the coyote today on our block close to Park Ridge. My Sheba weighs 85 pounds of Shepherd so the coyote stayed back but all my neighbors with your little dogs be mindful and careful😎

Not sure where you are located but we live on South Hamlin. Yesterday, I went to let my dogs out and there was a coyote sleeping in our yard. It’s fenced, so it def jumped over. They are out of control.

Glad you kept your distance. I’ll never forget walking in the forest preserve with my daughter and her 45# (soaking wet) dog who was on leash but not held. A white coyote came flying along from the left, we grabbed the leash bc who wants to break up that potential fight?!, the coyote didn’t even glance at us. We joked it heard it’s dinner bell. It was strange bc I’ve never seen a coyote move that fast and it wasn’t in pursuit of any prey.

The coyotes (and the myriad of other animals like skunks and foxes roaming the streets) are getting very bold.

I thought they were nocturnal. I wonder if their food source is low or if the coyotes are in mating season. I’m sure it wanted no part of your dog.
