This guy is wandering the neighborhood by Sibley and Silviawood around Park Ridge. He walked right across the street from an adult waiting to get her kindergartener off the bus. I was very alarmed and want anyone in the area to be aware, especially if you have small kids who play outside.

While they look menacing, coyotes generally will not approach a human. They will however get bunnies and small animals.
Aww itβs so cute though π»
What a beauty π²
Coyotes don't eat humans, so
Katie Hagerty Reeder yikes!
Coyotes stay away from us! Nothing to fear but fear itself!
Well the coyote certainly had no fear. he got within 40 feet of that woman and then slowly wandered away. Iβm very relieved to know he wouldnβt have eaten her but I think general awareness of what to do if you are approached by a coyote would be a prudent lesson for kids in the neighborhood.
They are everywhere here and not afraid. I worry about pets
Had one by my dog and me at summit and prospect
2 of them on elm and home earlier today, just strolling around Iβm curious for everybody that says they wonβt harm humans (which I agree) but what do you expect they will do if Iβm walking the dog? Iβm assuming they wonβt go near dog if Iβm with him, do you agree with that?
This one was NOT afraid of humans. He walked towards the woman at the bus stop, got close, and slowly wandered away. He was right across the street from her before he changed directions.
This one was spotted on Chester Ave by Stewart at around 9:30am. It looks like it could be the same one by the markings
Posting is just to let everyone be aware. Especially people with small pets and children. I appreciate the warning
Salena Hernandez Flint well, what do you expect? The river two blocks away rose 2β in 24 hours. They have nowhere to go!
Before you could meet them earlier morning or late at night . Now they wonder around town all day long . Seems like even the coyotes want to live in Park Ridge .
Cute but dangerous
Beautiful.
Maybe it will eat a few skunks
One ran out on Touhy Saturday and I slammed on my brakes to avoid hitting it. Luckily, no one was behind me but had it been a busier time of day different story. Anyone else miss the days of just being worried your dog would get skunked?
Saw this one on Greenwood around 2pm today.
Gina Landini Maybe I need to start walking my dog in PR. They were howling the other night because of a passing fire truck. Ε ΓΊΕka howled back with his deep howl. Silence. They run when he comes. π
Yep they live along the railroad tracks
HEY! That's my house! I am compelled to mention the PPG Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesen West Cherokee Red stain I put on my siding. It's an excellent stain and I think it came out great. Julianne put her little ghost in the bathroom window. She loves her Halloween stuff.
I saw him this morning in Park Ridge on Toughy Av up towards a smaller street towards the FFC , I hit the brakes hard as it crossed in front of me .
Thank you so much for waiting with me while I was waiting for my daughter! I didnβt realize how close it was to me! That was pretty scary
OMG I saw this little guy running down the middle of the road right in front of my car. We stared at each other and I'm pretty sure he flicked me off.
Does this dog need rescue? ππππππππππππππ
I actually feel bad for the little guy. He's probably hungry, lost, and can't find his way home.
