Shout out to Power Home Remodeling Group in Park Ridge. where apparently this customer “bill of rights” is only applicable when a husband is present. Won’t even give me a quote without my husband. 🙄🙄🙄 Way to take us back to the 1950’s! https://powerhrg.com/customer-service/?fbclid=IwAR0_ZwsP0oHz5uKhFeYEytLw7m-FtwSnhlvMt1r5JyK3VrqdNMbpuYlq-oM

You don't want a quote from them, if you want the cheapest quote you have to get it they day they quote you. otherwise that quote is no good.

Makes me want to call for an estimate even tho we don't need anything done, just to mess with them

What if you don’t have one? 🤔

I bet they would do the same thing to a married couple if only the husband was there. They want both there to try and sell on the spot with no time to think it over, or get other quotes.

A woman’s place is in the House. And the Senate. We’ve come too far to tolerate this crap any longer.

It’s not even about being the woman or a man… They are high-pressure sales people and need both parties present so that they can do a first time close… their company is a Pressure sales oriented

Actually, it states all homeowners. I don't see anything that states "a husband" ..... #5. Because we respect all homeowners – we will never agree to a project without all owners and relevant parties present, so that you are all fully informed of our services and know what to expect"

This has been brought up on here before and has nothing do with husband/wife etc. if your husband were home they’d want YOU there to continue with booking. As stated in the comment above, they want all homeowners present.

I’d say that probably 80% of the time the husband would say. It’s the wife’s say.

Some contractors use this for legal purposes. in case one of the homeowners would claim they did not agree to have the work done.

We used them. They wanted both of us present as well for a quote. They have excellent service but talk about overpriced. Don’t do it unless you are rich. I’ll be paying my roof off for another 8 years.

Interesting that they want to "protect themselves", but yet contractors think nothing of not showing up when they said they would, not cleaning up the job site very well each day, leaving fast food trash and cans, sending a guy who's never done tiling to a TILE job, cutting corners and thinking I (the wife) won't notice, and then getting mad when they want a final check but haven't even finished the job?

Amy Warlick when they say “free quote” what they really mean is “invite me to your home so I can put the full court press on and get you to sign a contract”.

Maybe they want both parties present?

If you read Yelp reviews on this company you dodged a huge bullet. Move on to next company- this one is BAD and was it lucky they wouldn’t give you a quote - read the horror stories.

Not defending the company, but Ed Mueller has it right - they want both spouses there so they can get a decision and move forward. Many companies do this. Often, when only one spouse is there, they get a yes, and then get a call back with a no. Companies also have a right not to waste their effort on something they have found to often be a wasted effort.
