Thinking of ditching our cable provider around Park Ridge. What are our options?! I’m not too tech savvy so all of this is very confusing lol. We need internet (obviously) and some way to get Netflix and regular channels. We have one new tv and 2 old TVs (over 7 yrs old) if we switched to Apple TV would we need to upgrade our old TVs? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Apple tv is connected by hdmi cable. If tv is so it it doesn't have hdmi ports you need new tvs. An antenna for locals. Hulu live covers most cable channels and 2, 5, 7, 32

If you buy a new tv might as well get a smartTV, then no need for appleTV.

We just cut the cord. We decided on YouTube tv because you can record shows and watch them on other devices. Can’t get wgn news, but i stream it off my phone and then onto my Apple TV so i can watch wgn news.

Hulu! Get an amazon fire stick. Hulu subscription has even more channels and live sporting games than we had with Comcast

We use Roku. You can also use a smart tv and get Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix. Get some old rabbit ears or an antenna and you get over the air HD. CBS does not work well in Chicago area. We have WOW internet. You can subscribe as you like to HBO, Stars Stars etc. also, as you learn, you can hook up your sound system and use Pandora or Spotify to run through tv or blue tooth.

We have Roku. Which gives us Netflix and Hulu and amazon access as well as many others. We pay for Hulu and steal Netflix from our parents. Lol. Internet is xfinity

Amazon fire stick! We have 2 on 2 older TVs and the other is a smart tv so we don’t need one. Once our cable contract ends we are cutting cable

We have the amazon fire stick. We downloaded an app to allow us to watch our favorite shows. You just need to pay for internet.

We have directTv now (streaming) and don’t miss Comcast at all. We use the fire stick and get Netflix with it too. Directtv now was a easy transition for us. Didn’t notice much of difference from having cable. There is also a recording option.
