I need to get away for the weekend within Park Ridge. Where to go in Wisconsin? I need to be able to swim in a lake. I would prefer something other than Wisconsin Dells.

Please research whichever lake you decide to visit. Several of the lakes near our summer home in the Dells/Oxford are contaminated with the bacteria that causes Swimmers Itch. You definitely don't want to go for a relaxing vacation itching for weeks. My neighbor has an AIRBNB across from Twin Lakes. Twin Lakes are not contaminated. She is not on the lake but has access to the neighborhood TL Beach. I'll post below. Good Luck!

I grew up in Burlington near Lake Geneva. Lots of choices for summer fun.

New buffalo, Michigan is not in Wisconsin. but is the same distance as Wisconsin dells and is beautiful!

If you're looking for a day trip type of thing, Devil's Lake is really nice!
I second Devils Lake. The campground is certainly booked by now- but there are lots of little motels around
Door County!
Tundra Lodge in Green Bay. Three story water park, and the beach is real close as well.
Twin lakes, Lance Park Beach!
Green Lake is north of Milwaukee. The won and lake are beautiful. You could stay at Heidelhaus.

Door County, there are several towns to stay either on the Michigan side or the Green Bay side. It’s the Cape Cod of the Midwest.
