Thinking of making the switch to Direct TV NOW (not satellite Direct TV) in Park Ridge. It’s the only streaming TV that has the channels we want. So just wondering who has it and what you love and hate about it.

We have it. It's expensive. They charge you for things you don't want and if you want to get rid of that charge you have to go down to a lower package. Service is pretty good. I think it depends where they put your satellite. Make sure it's not covered by trees. Weather hasn't been too much of a problem, so we're lucky that way.

We had it and it was fine. We preferred PS Vue. And you don’t need a PlayStation to get the streaming service.

Direct TV Now. I have it . For the price, it’s great. We don’t watch much. I like that I can stream at the office during the day. DVR isn’t great, but works. Again for the price it’s not bad enough to go back to Comcast.

We’ve had it for almost 2 years. It was the only service with the channels we wanted. We love it and have never looked back!

I have DTVN since it started. I had best luck with AppleTV for streaming. Go Big package is the best for me only thing missing is channel 9. I use an antenna for 9 and 18 (ion. ) -Know that the guide has no channel numbers. It is alphabetical by channel name (once I got used to it, I prefer it this way. you always know which way to scroll in the guide. ) Channel changes are not immediate, my other half can't stand to wait the 2 seconds to switch channels or having to go to the guide to pick the channel) -There have been a hand full of times in 2 1/2 yrs things have been blacked out. Normally I can switch to the antenna to fix that (local sports) or the channel's app to stream it. -A couple times a week my screen will go black. I change the channel and reselect what I was watching and all is back to normal. -The DVR can be frustrating at times (but mostly good) for me. Just had the recording freeze for me yesterday with 5 min left. Had to wait until today to finish the episode on the channel app. I do pay for hulu $6/month as a dvr backup. On demand has gotten better. -app based tv is great but you do have to be willing to get used to the slight changes in habits.

We have Direct Now. No complaints at all and a heck of a lot cheaper than anything else out there.

Oh when changing to streaming service. Figure 2mb of data per hour of stream. So if you watch 5 hrs it will be 10mb. If 2 tvs due 5hrs of streaming it will be about 20mb. Helpful to know in case you have a 1tb ceiling (100mb = 1gb) 100gb = 1tb

We have it. $43 out the door. It’s like cable. Streams on all of our devices. Can record shows. Has a good amount of shows in library. All the major sports for the boys. I’ve been very pleased.
