Don't they all? 😜
But it’s easy to find those guys.
Everyone wants great work for a cheap price
I have a lot of them if you want to know. Sometimes I want to just say when people recommend them “I used them they are expensive “ 😄
What you pay is what you get . Especially in services .
You want monkeys, pay peanuts. 😉
Unfortunately there are soooo many tradesman who come here and do shitty work! You get what you pay for while screwing the good people.
They do, just not in this area. Lol
Great example of what happens when you want it done cheaper.
Yea, doesn't matter if they're good or not. Lol
I think that all the time too.
I can give you numbers of plenty of shysters. I had two new furnaces put in. Two years later called a company for annual maintenance and they said one was in need of replacement. Shocked. Got a second opinion, cleaned and still working. Another, dead of winter, made me wait over night with no heat for an alleged motor issue on a 10 year old boiler, then the next day determined I needed a new boiler. But could only tell me that at about 3 pm. ? Why list names? No one wants to be sued.
How about one that will “break the bank”? 😂
I just want an honest one and have never found one yet. They all have tried to rip me off, not knowing that my husband used to do all that stuff so I know how much supplies and labor should cost. It’s so sad, how people are taken advantage of. And I won’t pay until the job is done. But again, haven’t found honest ones and honest includes fair prices. So I don’t trust any of them. Place is falling apart!
LOL! I always wanted to post the same thing!
Haha yes! Veterinarians too!
Just a quick question to determine what is reasonable: $450 to have a basic kitchen faucet swapped out? Or $3000 for a water heater. I’ve lost sight of what is “reasonable”. These are actual quotes I just received.
I don’t promote myself as much as some do. My Park Ridge work is more “word of mouth”, but I do discount my city rates for Park Ridge mom neighbors. If you are looking for a licensed, bonded, insured electrician with a TON of experience, I am your gal. 😉
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣me too

It's super offensive to people who provide GREAT work and are being asked to not charge a fair price for their work. Great work costs more. Average work costs less.
You can find online, the cost of ANY materials. You can search plumbing supply stores, HVAC supply houses, etc. Contractors usually get discounts, so try to buy it yourself. You can also find online, the labor costs for whatever you want done. Make yourself informed. I’ve been ripped off so many times, the stories would horrify you. Be informed before you call anyone in. It’s so easy to find all of this info online. And if the person doing the work is buying the materials, get their actual store receipt from their purchase. If honest, they’ll give it to you.
An old neighbor, in an effort to save money I assume, ordered her own windows from home depot for a remodel job. She didn't want to pay the contractor. She measured wrong, had a large window she couldn't use. She didn't understand why home depot would not take the window back. Contractors can provide a valuable service.
