Both the Niles and Parkridge police departments were called and informed. My attack happened in North Park so I will be making a police report as soon as I get home from the vet. The lady that was across the street on Western that fell on top of her dog to protect it from the other two dogs was attacked while they were attacking her dog as well. I don’t know if she has contacted the police. Or if she sustained any injuries herself.

Wow. So sorry to hear this. I hope everyone is ok. I remember a very similar story last year, around this time in fact. It was either two or three large dogs and it happened over near Our Lady of Ransom. From what I recall they belonged to someone in the neighborhood.

Hope these dogs are caught, went through attack myself several years ago, make owners pay for the surgery & make them to through training, our attacker had to do this & pay $7, 000 in vet surgery, horrific! Good luck

The other woman and dog who were attacked are unknown so far and not reported anything to any police entity as far as I know. She is a white female approximately in her 60s with some kind of possible eastern European accent. She’s probably about 5 foot four or six with dark Brown hair. Her dog is a medium sized short-legged black haired older dog with the gray muscle I do not know the breed. If anyone knows this woman and can get her to report this to the police that would be amazing and would help us in bringing the right type of actionAgainst these dangerous dogs that have absolutely no fear of humans and will attack anyone.

Oh my gosh! This is horrific! Glad you and your fur babies are okay. I hope they figure out where these dogs live. I have not seen them at Woodland Park but will keep my eyes open for them for sure!

💥💥💥💥UPDATE💥💥💥💥 Brody is home an recovering. The other victim dog also ended up going to Blue Pearl last night after we left there. From what I was told that dog was attended to and sent home. The receptionist did not know if the owner was injured. Between the Niles and Park Ridge police we have identified the dogs and the owners and where they came from. We have not made contact with the owner yet, but there is a process that needs to go step-by-step to get this whole issue resolved.

This is terrifying. as someone who walks their dog up there, it’s incredible that i now am afraid and am looking over my shoulder all the time! (And i have a 100+# dog! ) please let us know when the dogs are confiscated. they must be quarantined according to law after a bite. It’s just unacceptable that this isn’t an isolated incident with these dogs! Soooooo Irresponsible!

As an owner of big dogs, I am SO SORRY that this happened to you. These dogs are a menace and should not be allowed to stay in their residence, at the very least. Small dogs can also be vicious, but I feel that we owners of big dogs have to be extra cautious. We all make mistakes, but this is completely unacceptable. I hope everyone heals quickly.
