I had my car repossessed like 6 yrs ago within Park Ridge. For some reason, the date of “Last Payment” on my credit report, changed to like 3 yrs ago, when my actual “last payment” was 6 yrs ago! I’ve tried disputing it, and nothing is working. I was told a that things on my credit report fall off by “date of last payment”. This repo has been sitting already for 6 yrs! I’m Not trying to wait an additional 3 yrs for it to come off! What do I do?!

Sometimes the repo company does not clear the vehicle until it is sold-hence the balance of the vehicle is finally paid.

Call the company you were paying and ask for a statement/proof.

Here is what they do. If you still owe money on it after they sell your car you are on the hook for the difference. So if they sell your car for $6, 000 and it was valued at $15, 000 on what you owed guess who pays the difference of $9, 000. 00? You do! So a debt collector will hold onto that bad paper as they call it till the expiration date is almost to the end to drop off then they resell your bad loan and it starts all over again for another 7 years! It's an ugly reality!
