Help! This poor robin is either fighting or mating with itself in Park Ridge. Keeps crashing into my window. I don't know how to get it to move along or stop. Its moving from window to window so not only do I have tons of bird poop on my sills and dirty windows, hearing this bird crashing into my windows is breaking my stupid, animal loving heart. Anyone have this problem? I've tried opening/closing blinds. ugh.

Put something in the window so it's reflection isn't so obvious

Get some decals for the window.

How about a broom to gently guide it away? Poor thing. And YOU!

Or a hose with a gentle spray of water?

Is it possible that the bird may have a nest nearby? Seeing his reflection may mean to here there is another bird and it is panicking

We hung old CD/DVD's around. With the wind, they turn, giving off a reflection. Spooks the birds.

I have a bird doing this to my car for the last few weeks. Pecking away at my sunroof like it's his job. now he's moved on to the side mirrors. Definitely think he thinks he's fighting off another bird.

Nesting season is gonna kill me. The husband is going to Home Depot to get frost spray. Looks like our house will the one everyone talks about taking forever to get Christmas decorations down.

They sell a reflecting tape you can buy to prevent birds from crashing into the window. It's not the prettiest looks but def. works and after time can take down because eventually moves on from doing it.
