Looking for advice about driving schools for my almost 17 year old this summer close to Park Ridge. Maine South is full but interested in what they charge so I can compare them to the private driving schools. Thanks in advance.

Taft is great but if you are not in Chicago they won't take you. Walters by willows is cheapest adds schedule wise. the next most convenientand cheapest I found was Viking in park ridge

How much is it at Maine South? I seem to remember it was around 350-400 when Edward took it there five years ago.

My kids did expert and we were very pleased with them. The day they go take the written test experts drives the kids in limo. Not sure if they still do that but my 2 thought that was great.

Viking has a "basic" class for $495. It fulfills the minimum state requirement.

Maine south is about 100$ cheaper. I think $350. 00. My son didn't want me to sign him up but I did and he was glad I did. He took it as an elective during school and liked the class and teachers. Also advantage is the teachers get to give them the actual driving test and pass them using same route they do frequently while driving in class so the kids know exactly where they are going and what to do. The teacher can pass them on the driving test. No stranger or strange route. Then they just go to DMV to take the picture and get the actual license. No line for the driving test.

Why not ask the administration if your child can take it at East or West? It's the same school district. They all could have wait lists but worth looking into.
