Opinions please! I have just moved to a new townhome in Park Ridge. I have sliding windows with Blinds on them. I want to change them out. I really don't want vertical blinds. suggestions?

You could do a nice pleated drapery panel. Smith and Noble has a lot of good options. http://www.smithandnoble.com/sliding-door

My concern is when the windows are open( sliding) then the panel would be flapping. my windows are ground floor, so if I pulled them up, everyone walking by could see right in.

This is my dining area view. Windows slide. blinds give privacy , but don't work if the window is open. Vertical blinds would work, but, I don't love them.

We have draperys on ours. You could also do sheers, so you get privacy but still light through them when you have the door closed.

You could always just do a very tasteful tinting job. It would also reduce glare throughout the day!

That would be great! Where would I get something like this done?

We just had all of the old verticals replaced with cordless double honeycomb horizontal shades and LOVE them. We used Image Custom Drapery & Blinds. Great service, install & prices.
