Looks like we've got an issue with bees in holes in our brick mortar near Park Ridge. They seem to be going in and out of a few spots. Any insights and recommendations about who to call to get this checked out?

We had this issue some years ago. Call a pest exterminator and then have the area of the holes tuck pointed.

I know there's a guy that sells honey on Cumberland in the front of his house. Maybe he wants the bees?

You sure they're bees and not hornets? They kind of look alike. If they are hornets, there's a nest in there and you need to spray it and kill them. Ruin the nest and they will leave. Either be super careful and run fast or get a professional to do it. We have had it happen with little cubbies on our deck. Bad bad

These are not honeybees- they live in hives.

They are probably wasps or hornets. Bees tend to swarm when looking for a new hive, there would be a huge amount of them

I think these are carpenter bees. We had one last year. We were grilling and he was literally boring above us pushing wood shavings onto the grill. Dan filled the hole with caulk.

Don't just fill the holes. If you trap bees in there they will find a way out and it may end up being through your walls!
