Any ex smokers out there who vaped to quit in Park Ridge? I want to quit for good. I've quit before with patches, gum and laser therapy, but eventually I go back to the habit of putting the cigarette in my mouth. I'm ready to give it another full blown effort. I want to know which vapes and juice are going to work best without investing $300. Let's hear it! Thanks in advance.

Have you tried wellbutrin? I smoked two packs a day and tried everything. Wellbutrin was the only thing that worked for me.

I've used welbutrin too, it's really good. And Chantix works good too.

I know someone who did Chantix and I swear it changed their personality. Be careful with that. A woman I work with is using the e-cig Juul (I think it's $30) and she says it is working for her; and she was a heavy smoker.

I tried doing the vape as well as a bunch of friends of mine and everyone I know has gone back to smoking. The reason I stopped vaping is because I actually started having seizures, started with really bad migraines then led to the seizure a month later. Alot of my friends started experiencing migraines, sore throats, and some got pneumonia multiple times before linking it to vaping. Most seemed to vape more then they smoked and spent just as much if not more while smoking.

My husband used Chantix. Yes it's expensive but it saved his life. From what I understand vaping tobacco still has nicotine

I did laser therapy. The first time didn't work because really, I wasn't ready. The 2nd time I went to another place and had a wonderful person explain absolutely everything to me. I went for a "tune-up" a week later and haven't smoked in 5 1/2 years.

I smoked for over 40 years, quitting here and there during that time. I finally began to feel so winded, and couldn't lay down without a lot of breathing issues. I finally stopped when I decided no matter how uncomfortable it was, I would stop. Also you have to make up your mind that once you stop, that's it. Never ever pick one up again, determine to deal with stessors some other way, cause they will always be there. I have been quit 5 years, and along the way both my mother and son passed away due to COPD issues and were heavy smokers. I did not pick one up, although was tempted. You can do it, the fight is more mental. Withdrawal doesn't last that long really. Just be willing to get through it.

Get a jar. Put a tiny bit of water in it. Put some cig butts in there. Close the jar. Itll shortly smell disgusting. Then when you have a craving open the jar and smell it. Also put every dollar youd spend on cigs in a jar. You cant spend it until youve fully quit. Those are the 2 things that worked for my husband before we got married. Edit. It wasnt easy. He was mean some days lol. But he was smoking sometimes a pack a day. That was 5 years ago

Yes! I quit Jan 16th and started vaping and have not had one cig since. I started at a 12 nic level and have gradually tapered down to a 3. It's the only thing that has ever worked for me. My smokers cough was completely gone in the first month. Cold turkey is definitely the best, but if your like me and have always failed at that I highly suggest vaping! It can be really overwhelming to get started so let me know if you have any questions! My favorite mod is the kangertech cupti and I like varleyvaporco. com for my juices.

Wear an elestic band around your wrist, pull it away as far as you can and let go! Oh SNAP! It HURTS! Worked for me after I stopped using the patch. Practically free and no other harmful chemicals in the bod! Good luck - you CAN do it. I quit 14 years ago now.

Black Pepper essential oil has helped people quit. One drop under the tongue to curb the nastiest craving. Would you like to try it?

What has helped the most, for my husband, is to avoid hanging out with smokers as much as possible. He doesn't crave them until his friends go out for a smoke break.

Just trading one addiction for another. I did it cold turkey, if you really want to quit you will. I smoked for over 30 years, it's been 7 months and I got that monkey still on my back wanting me to smoke. it ain't easy, but it's so worth it.

I would "smoke " drinking straws. It helped with the hand to mouth habit, and also the breathing. That inhaling /exhaling feeling is what I craved
