I live on Elmore and have had a fox visiting the yard for about 5 years. He is beautiful!

Fox unlike coyotes will not go after dogs. Only small critters. We had one in our yard and he ran to lure us away from. the Vixens den where she had six kits.

I've watched foxes follow people walking their dogs down the street early in the morning. They might not typically go after dogs but if food is scarce you never know.
