I have proclaimed Boston Fish Market many times on here but the owner was so rude tonight that I may never go back around Park Ridge. I also have brought about 15 people there in the past . After waiting in line for 45 minutes we had a table. When the other three in our party were done eating but I was not he said "Eat and get out! " He did comment that we had a third bottle of wine when the limit is one per table now. Regardless I was not done. There was a line as always. I just feel that he could have stated it nicer. I understand he is under stress but he needs a lesson in manners! I think I will try Don's Fish market next time.

I never eat there, I always carry out, whether it's fresh or raw.

They do have the freshest fish cooked so well it's just that I cannot believe how rude he was. I get it that he is so busy and it is stressful but he could have been nicer. In the past one night I even put up with him seating his Greek friends ahead of people in line.

Wow Robin, not a great way for the Boston Fish Market to attract new business! Since when is there a limit on the number of bottles of wine one can have at a BYOB restaurant? First I have ever heard of that policy!

He should just open a restaurant and be done with it instead of the half-assed, stressful way they do it now. I feel sorry for the staff having to constantly weave around all of those people.

I love Don's, went in last week to Boston just to pick up a menu and the owner was standing by the door and didn't even want me to enter, I said can I just have a menu and I left, no customer service at all. If they are overwhelmed because of how popular they are move to a larger location don't be rude to run customers away.

Oh true. Never eaten there but have met the owner. He's all business and no personal skills whatsoever.

He told my brother he was a mother f er and he ever saw him in his restaurant again he would kill him. Real professional way of running a an establishment. I don't care what kind of product you are selling. Oh and mind you this is after going into his establishment numerous times as a customer and my parents going there every weekend. He still has the audacity to treat someone like that.

If you wanted to sit and linger and enjoy a couple of bottles of wine then maybe that wasn't the place to do it. I know that nothing frustrates me more when I am waiting over an hour for a table at a place that doesn't take reservations are lingerers. It's also frustrating to the waitstaff who rely on tips when a table takes up what could be two seatings. Maybe he just has no filter and says what everyone else is just thinking.

I have to say we had a Greek Salad, shrimp cocktail, sea bass, grilled scallops, fried calamari, rice, vegi's, french fries, and red potatoes for $55. 00 a couple and had left overs.

There is no excuse for poor customer service and overt rudeness! Yes, the fish is awesome, but if he continues to be a total asshole to his customers, it will come back to haunt him!

Unless you are in a restaurant that has 2 seatings a night/day and everyone knows that, you have to give people time to enjoy their meals. I know it's annoying when you see people having coffee and chatting while you are waiting for a table but honestly, that's just tough. If it bugs you waiting for an hour. don't do it. I don't. Nowhere is worth that kind of a wait.

No excuse for rude service but if the limit was one bottle of wine and you were opening your third. well, I would consider that pushing it. Certainly sounds like it could have been handled better though.

Had a bad experience there a few weeks ago too! Very rude! They've gotten too popular.

Ok I was just contacted by Michael from Boston Fish Market and he wants to make it up to me. So I may just forgive them for tonight. Thanks Michael Vallone for reaching out.

We didn't care for the lack of help or information when ordering. We too are on the fence about if we'd go back!

My 2 cents. It shouldn't be 1 bottle of wine per table if there were 3 couples! Each couple can easily go through a bottle of wine just by themselves.

I have ordered and bought from here. honestly I don't know why anyone would enjoy sitting eating in a store. makes no sense to me I was ruined when Pappadeaux opened in Arlington Heights in 20 years ago the service and restaurant was amazing . I was heart broken when he closed. to go to a store frobt for this price blows me away.
