Stuck in a decision loop between the Honda Pilot and Mazda cx-9 in Park Ridge. Anyone have a cx-9 and use it as a family car (2kids. Plus friends here)?

Don't know anything about the Mazda, but we love our Pilot! :)

We have a Mazda CX-9! Currently driving with our 2 kids and our friend in the middle row :) . Still have room for 2 or 3 more people in the back row!

Thanks all. We are terrible at making decisions. Pros and con lists.

The pilot drives more like a truck IMO. The cx-9 drives more like a car.

Mazda is on a car frame so drives more like a car. I am sure Honda is not car frame so feel will be different. You just have to test drive to really feel difference. I have CX5 and love it.

I have heard amazing things about the Pilot. Hondas have the best resale value. They also get way better gas milage. Consumer Reports gives them the best rating. I'd get one in a heartbeat but they are soooooo out of my price range.

We've had our CX9 for 6 years now, and we love it. The third row is spacious for adults to sit comfortably (I'm 5'3" and have sat back there multiple times), but I don't feel like I'm driving a huge vehicle. Like others have said, it handles like a car, rather than a truck.
