HELP! I tried changing 2 can lights (the bulb) in my basement around Park Ridge. And the stem of the bulb broke off in the socket! I've tried the potato trick and it is not working! Anyone know what to do? Or someone whom can help!

cut the power to the whole house and use a pliers (slowly and delicately)... It has happened to me more than once.

Put on a rubber glove and use your hand to twist the base of the bulb. The glove gives you grip.

Shut the power off first at the breaker or fuse and use pliers. Do not do this with the power on ( I have to say that)

You can also try balling up a wad of masking tape and shoving it up there?
