Differed maintenance in the interest of saving money is an expensive decision in the long run close to Park Ridge. I know that just the mold in the auditorium, north gym and 1st grade wing Roosevelt alone has been ignored since my oldest was in kindergarten. The ceiling tiles are all stained from water damage in the hallway. The smell is so bad that the teachers burn candles in their classrooms. The music teachers moved their classes out of the auditorium because of the mold smell was making them ill. If cash bonds finally get this fixed then I'm all for it. http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/park-ridge/news/ct-prh-park-ridge-schools-follow-tl-0504-20170502-story.html

And a board of health wasn't brought in at it's inception? Why not?

Mold? In a school? Should be a priority to eliminate.

Why has the mold not been addressed? Yet we are spending millions on safe entries? One is a real hazard. the other just hopes to prevent potential hazards.
