Anyone know what happened to noodles and company in Park Ridge? Sad to see they closed up shop in pr and opened in Niles. I know parking at uptown in that location is a pain. Sure hope the storefront doesn't turn into another financial services company. Or worse yet, a cell phone or matress store.

Noodles is closing stores nationwide. The Niles location has been open for some time, they did not move there. I don't find parking to be an issue as long as you don't mind going in the garage. But I am there several times a week at OrangeTheory, so I'm very used to it. I too hope that something useful takes its place.

They were "underperforming" and didn't get the anticipated traffic

It's hard to find an optometrist in that area.

An auto zone would be awesome

Did anyone stop to think that the reason these establishments keep closing is due to high rent and taxes? Perhaps the blame needs to be pointed in the direction it's due as businesses can't afford PR, no matter how lucrative they try to be.

I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to get it rezoned as a Dr's office

A bang bang like pie shop. Just a simple pie and coffee place.

I dont agree that we have more than enough restaurants, how about unique places like a wine bar (different than wine styles) etc, a type of place like the beer on the wall place across the tracks is an interesting like concept but fails to hit the mark without getting the right permit to be a bar with food like it should be, a place similar theme to that would be interesting. Parking is a pain how about where the old ay caramba use to be, place a parking structure there? from there uptown is very walkable, our night street lamps, etc. heck if we had regular christmas lights (ie. 2700K warm white Not ELECTRIC NEON BLUE) lining the trees year round, like on division downtown, it would encourage even more foot traffic i. e. ambiance etc Im sure im going to get KILLED for this comment lol.
