As a member of the Maloney election team, I was really proud of the way Marty ran his campaign close to Park Ridge. It was all about truth, honesty, and transparency. The other side tried scare tactics, issuing false claims about taxes, and importing workers from outside Park Ridge not to mention getting large financial backing from local developers and their buddies. In the end, the "high road" won out with a 2 to 1 margin. Park Ridge voters showed they cannot be tricked and do recognize a good person with strong local ties with a history of dedicated public service. Yes, experience does count.

Congratulations. I was happy to support Marty because I have seen a noticeable improvement in South Park and Uptown under his watch since we moved here 4 years ago. Still, it takes great courage and commitment to put your name on the ballot, and regardless of what you might think of his tactics or message, the 1/3 who supported Fuksa and 2/3 that supported Maloney have a shared interest and a shared responsibility to work together to advance the common good for all who call Park Ridge home.
