I was a little annoyed when Lucas Fuksa refused to answer questions posted in response to his Facebook ads, two out of last 3 blasting the current administration for the failed water deal with Evanston and failure to collect taxes from the now free parking at Lutheran General close to Park Ridge. This latest sponsored ad takes the cake. He is deleting comments when pressed for further information. He has turned commenting off altogether as far as I can see. I would like to hope that the good citizens of Park Ridge can see beyond the criticism and empty promises that Lucas is making. There are a lot of great ideas here, but please tell us how you are going to pay for these ideas while lowering our taxes? Please tell us how your platform will be different than Frimark's? (See comments for screenshot).

I had my post deleted too. I was trying to point out that most of what he is suggesting is already incorporated into the city's strategic plan and upcoming budget. Except some of additional expenses of his plan. Those have been tried before and failed. Facts, not fiction. http://www.parkridge.us/assets/1/Events/City%20Manager%20FY18%20Budget%20Message1.pdf

How can he look us in the eye at the end of this campaign knowing well that he ran on fiction while ignoring us, the taxpayer, his neighbors, and residents of this town? Won't he be embarrassed by his actions? His intent to mislead? Oh wait. remember the thief Blagojevich, this guy is no different!

I asked how he would tackle my 77% increase in property taxes.

What's going to happen in meetings when real live people ask questions or have comments? Just saying, apparently there is a bubble missing. "suppress the first amendment rights of all constituents that don't blindly agree with me. "

I'm not trying to be snarky. I just wanted a response to his misinformation.

If he can't handle a little Facebook heat he surely won't enjoy being Mayor. I can't imagine all of the grief Marty gets thrown at him via all means of communication.

He is saying what he thinks he needs to say or what his handlers tell him to say to win. A lot of developers are depending on him to win. There's a lot of potential profit to be made.

That's what makes this part of his flow chart very concerning. **Aside from the obvious spelling error :/ Besides his law firm that works with developers, he owns a real estate investment firm, Pencore LLC, that flips houses in Park Ridge and could benefit from zoning changes. Additionally, he's said publicly that he would not rule out tax payer funded incentives to developers.

I think I'm just blocked from commenting, he hasn't shut down commenting altogether.

You could save budget money by not hiring a full time position for a grant writer. There are freelancers that can do it and the city would save on benefits/pension, etc. Visionary.

Out of curiosity, who has been blocked from commenting on "Lucas for Mayor", or have had comments deleted?
